Stress and Healthy Eating: How they correlate with one another.

I’m going, to be honest with y’all and say that my healthy eating routine has gone downhill tremendously the past two months. I haven’t worked out in days, and it has taken a giant toll on my mental health. Every time I’ve tried to take control of it, something happens. Friends over at the house, entertaining, you name it I’ve taken complete advantage in every negative sense of the word. We’ve recently come back from a road trip to Missouri to get my sister’s new dog, his name is Beux Henry. (Yes our dogs, have middle names).

In this brief space of time, between leaving for the trip and returning, I’ve certainly enjoyed my share of ALL the snacks food and beverages. Trust me, I’m not proud of myself either. But, believe me, when I tell y’all this I’ve started building a consistent routine again, and the results are unbelievable so far. I’m in the final stretch of #transform20 with Shaun T, and even though my rest days from allergies and cerebral palsy pain, I’ve never felt stronger and happier! It helps now that my hormones are getting back to their old selves as well.

So now I ask myself the big question, “where am I headed from here?” The answer becomes clearer and clearer each morning. Getting self-care back as quickly as possible, starting with attending our church rather soon. I’m so excited about starting to find my happiness again.I’ve learned, that I can’t let other people’s negative situations get me into a depression cycle. I have to learn to find myself and achieve my goals. Then, and only then, should I be able to reach my true potential in my life.
