Harry Potter and the sorcerer's stone by JK Rowling Book Review #10

Our story begins, in Little Wingy Number 4 Privet Drive, where a 1-year-old by the name of Harry Potter, is dropped off on the doorstep of his aunt and uncle’s home after he merely escapes death by the evilest wizard in the world, Voldemort. As Harry turns older, he realizes that he can do things that most people who are muggles, (non-magical people) can’t. Such as speak parseltongue, (talk to or understand snakes) and have his hair magically reappear out of nowhere just days after getting his haircut.
His family thinks that he’s just doing these things to get under their skin when really what Harry doesn’t understand is that he’s been hiding the fact that he’s been a wizard for the better part of 11 years. All the while, strange things have been happening at number 4 privet drive, such as mail magically appearing through the fireplace, and the cupboard under the staircase.
With all the hoopla happening, Uncle Vernon decides that they need to leave the home, and go to some random crumbling shack of a cabin, in the middle of a storm. Little does uncle Vernon know, that even though he’s uprooting the family to a different location entirely, that doesn’t mean Harry doesn’t receive his letters to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry.
The next thing you know, Harry meets Hagrid who’s the groundskeeper of the school, and would later become Ron, Harry, and Hermione’s dearest friend. This book is full of twists, turns, and adventures from the very beginning, and even though you’ve probably heard of it and read it at least 1 million times, this is one of those series that will become a classic very soon!
