Let Love in is the first book in a series of five. In the first book, we meet Maddie, Reid, Melanie, Jack, Cammie, Lia, Brian, and Momma Crane. Maddie is an 18-year-old whose life changed drastically at the age of 10. Maddie’s parents died tragically in a car accident, and since then she’s never been the same.
When her parents died, she was forced to leave behind her home, school, and everything she knew. Her Aunt Maggie took her in more as an obligation than out of love. When Aunt Maggie dies from a heart attack, it’s only natural that Maddie moves in with Melanie and Momma.
Now fast forward to the fall semester at Ithaca, and Maddie and Melanie Move in together as roommates, along with Lia and Cammie. The girls become fast friends and go to a party that Cammie’s boyfriend Jack is hosting. When they get there. Maddie gets a chance to “meet” Reid by accidentally bumping into him while getting water.
They end up dancing together, and it turns out that he punches his best friend Jack in the face because he thought he slept with Maddie. To end up dating and things start getting serious, so serious in fact, that Maddie ends up pregnant because they didn’t use the second form of birth control. As you can imagine, Reid is beyond mad, and they end up breaking up… For Now.
I rate this book an awesome 5 out of % stars. Melissa Collins is a fantastic author and she makes you feel like the character in the books is real people. Amazing start to an awesome series. *This book does include sexual content and is not intended for audiences under 18.* It is additionally available on the Kindle. I’ll leave the link down below.
